BIKES OF ART

case study

+

One hundred years of inspiring brilliance calls for something big. Treat and Knock were honored to work with Handsome Cycles on their collaboration with the Minneapolis Institute of Art (Mia) in celebration of their 100th birthday. Together, we created three custom bicycles inspired by pieces of artwork from Mia’s permanent collection.

The result brought each piece to life—gaining recognition and admiration as fully functional works of art and inspiring design enthusiasts, bicycle riders and art lovers across the globe. We tallied over 65 million media impressions, many including heavy-hitters like The Huffington Post and Hypebeast.

BIKE NIGHT

news

The Art Bikes were revealed at Mia’s Bike Night 2015, an event that brings together the local biking community for a night of music, art, good eats and, of course, biking. Treat, Knock and Handsome brought together brains and brawn to construct a display that championed the bikes through the sun, the rain and the night—captivating attendees, tricyclers and triathletes to art seekers.
