It began with an invitation. The Minnesota Center for Glass Arts (aka FOCI) was holding its annual gala to fund its amazing programs for the Twin Cities glass-making community. Never ones to think small, FOCI imagined an iconic event fusing art, fashion and music with the dynamic energy of glassmaking. In other words, the kind of gig we live for.

When we got the invitation, TREAT dove in head first, collaborating with the founders, glass artists and designers to create an experience bubbling over with creative excitement. TREAT designers did their homework, slipping on the glass-blowing gloves and getting familiar with the massive space that's home to the non-profit's artist facilities and education programs.

Immediately apparent was the beautiful fluidity that glass represents, from how it's made to its endless creative possibilities. Inspired by all this dynamic potential, Treat crafted an identity that merged the studio's industrial sensibility with the elegance of its materials.

We dubbed this collision of creative communities "2200° Fashion Fusion" for the massive heat needed to make molten glass. True to the nature of glass art, our solution isn't static. Our flexible system allows the logo to change yet stay recognizable as the event evolves each year.

We styled and photographed the event to be used in promotions and all over social media. Signage, videos, gift packages and more finishing touches flowed into immersive experience that made an ancient artform feel shockingly fresh.

The gala culminated in a show-stopping runway extravaganza. TREAT collaborated to design and curate a special line of patterns and fashion pieces to walk the runway. Fellow well-known local fashion designers coordinated their collections to showcase wearable glass works created by FOCI members.


Fashion Fusion was the thread throughout the annual event, making this the perfect opportunity for us to utilize the surface design we hold so dear. We chose our favorite patterns, the ones we have always envisioned as wearable, and streamlined a color palette that was both on trend and on brand.

Getting the printed fabric and seeing the looks come to life on the runway was incredibly exciting for our team. A whole new medium to experience and work with. A true culmination of our first year with FOCI.
